I always create images for May the 4th day. This year the wee one asked if I she could pose for the images. She absolutely LOVES Star Wars. I usually create something silly with the dogs.
The wee one belongs to the dark side and wanted to share her love of Darth Vader with the world. The only problem was that we didn't have a helmet and I could not find one locally in a day. Well my friend Mar who is a pro at cosplay hooked me up with a Storm Trooper helmet and the rest is history! We took a walk through the neighborhood and she was even stopped by people out walking to pose for photos.
This child is the best! She is spontaneous, loves life and rocks her own style like nobody I know.
Prepare for image over share! Oh and she corrected her costume during our stroll through the neighborhood. She said "Mom, you know Storm Troopers don't use light sabers. They have guns!"
I HAD to get one with the helmet off.

Oh the sweetness! I don't snoop. I promise! The wee one showed me this and said she has a diary. She named is Loow (like Lou). Where did she come up with the name Loow? Well she said after she fills all of the pages up she will give it to me to read and I can get her a new diary.
day 58 thank you for simple ideas from the wee one. The fact that she said I can read it made my heart so happy!
How sweet is this? The entry she read me tonight talked about the airplane and the firefighters who worked to put the fire out. She is logging daily activities. I love it!
Today was a quiet very relaxing day. Well some may not see it as relaxing but I did. We got up early hit an antique fair, visited the flea market where I picked up two awesome cast iron skillets and went grocery shopping. After we came home I started cleaning up to prep dinner when I heard a very loud airplane and helicopter outside. I thought oh cool the 2nd day of the air show is happening and some planes must be flying over I went outside and saw this from the backyard.
I immediately grabbed my phone and snapped this shot. What in the world?
My biggest fear! A fire broke out on the other side of that hill. From the backyard I went to the front yard. As I was standing out there the fire marshall was driving through the neighborhood to let us all know how they were aggressively attacking the fire and reassured me that with the immediate air support they requested it was not going to get out of control. Cal Fire headed up the attack with 3 planes and 2 helicopter plus there were around 150 firefighters on the ground according to the newspaper.
day 59 thank you for the fast acting firefighters who took on this small 10 acre fire in 90+ degree weather.
Across the street view of the plane dropping fire retardant on the top of the hill.
The Air Show! The wee one had never been to an air show. She had no idea what to expect. The night before we were lying in bed and she said to me, "Mom I saw a big airplane in the sky and my friend at school said he was going to the air show. Can we go?" I had no idea an air show was happening. Hubby was going to be working all day so this would be the perfect thing to do. I bought tickets online and here we are! The wee one sat in old airplanes, met many pilots, ate junk food and roasted our butts off in the heat. It was miserably hot on Saturday, close to 100 degrees. We had no chairs, no umbrella and luckily the Boy Scout were selling water for $1. Despite the heat the wee one was a trooper! I'm very lucky that I have a child who knows her limits. After about 2 1/2 hours of watching old planes fly in formation, a stunt plane that the wee one was 100% sure was going to crash into the ground and the Royal Canadian Air Force CF-18 Hornet perform she was fried and ready to go home! What a HOT morning it was.
day 60 thank you for new experiences with the wee one. She was able to see, hear and feel the power of a fighter jet. The highlight of the day!
